My kids and I spent Thanksgiving in Florida visiting family. The last time we were there was four years ago. They were in preschool and kindergarten, so they didn't remember much about flying or planes. They had a blast taking off and landing. They are already trying to plan their next flying vacation. Me on the other hand? I had a wonderful time on the trip, but I am very glad to be home! I think you have to be a little crazy to travel such long distances with young children. I know I am!
Anyway, I always find it funny talking to strangers about where I am from. No doubt when you are on vacation, you inevitably come across someone who asks where you are traveling from. The facial expressions are always so great when I answer I am from Vegas. People tend to associate Las Vegas with The Strip and casinos. They forget, or simply don't realize, that we have a couple million people living in the valley. I always let them know I love it here.
