All good things must come to an end.
The journey home from Italy was long. In total, it took 30 hours to get back with flight delays and layovers. The flight home also had a young family with a crying baby. Poor little tyke! I was prepared this time with ear plugs (provided by the airline), earphones, and music. Kudos to all the brave families who travel with small children. I know it is not easy.
It is great to be back home and to sleep in our own bed...without the Pope!
Side note: Stud Muffin’s luggage did not make it on the plane home. Sigh.
