The Italian Chronicles #5: The Bike Ride

The roads in Montepulciano are about 4’10” wide, give or take. They are paved with ancient cobblestone in varying elevations. Since the roads are barely drivable for man or beast, we thought it would be a great idea to rent eBikes! Spoiler alert: I survived. I won’t lie, I was a bit nervous since meeting that fence in Tahoe. Good news is there are no fences, just random steep embankments you can go over without impediment. Stud Muffin kept yelling at me to stay on the shoulder, but there was no shoulder. It kind of felt like being at the Grand Canyon and your spouse keeps telling you to back up for a picture. I mean, I have no money, so I don’t know why he kept yelling. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it, even though I had to change my pants from peeing in them over fright.
