You might recall that my littles (Emersyn 8, Madelyn 6, and Parker 4) received a puppy for Christmas. They got a golden "mini" doodle. Well, mini is a relative word since the dog is not so mini. The dog's name is Chewy after the Star Wars character Chewbacca.
Chewy now outweighs Madelyn and Parker and is in full hyper puppy mode. You know, where the dog is learning how to go potty outside vs. inside, and trying to decide if the couch is food or not. Part of the training is learning how to walk on a leash. My daughter thought it would be a good idea to get the children involved with walking the dog. She had them walk around the cul-de-sac in front of the house.
Turns out the dog had a great time walking the children. Kids were falling, the dog was running and jumping, the leash was tangled around all parties. It was quite a sight. My daughter was yelling from the front porch, "Tell Chewy who is boss!" At this, Parker runs up to the dog and yells, "Jesus is boss, Chewy!" ...Yep, that's how it works.
