Mothers-in-law sometimes get a bad rap. You've probably heard the term "monster-in-law" before. Now that I am a mother-in-law, I am sensitive to the jokes and jibes.
Today, I want to do a big shout-out to my mother-in-law, Lois Heidel. She is the best and I am very blessed. I met Lo when I was 16, so in many ways I am practically her kid. My favorite thing about Lo is she always listens to me when I am disgruntled with her son. She agrees with me most of the time about the complaint, which is priceless! I hope this is a gift my daughter-in-law will let me give to her. (I could never talk to my mom about Stud Muffin because she would kill him.) Lo has taught me many things about marriage and the strength it takes to hold it together for 63 years and counting. So, don't be bringing your mother-in-law jokes to me because I love mine!!!
P.S. She also raised an amazing son which I am grateful for!
